Anisa Mpungwe for Project at Mr Price

I just love collaborations and Mr Price is doing a lot of them lately. The latest is with Anisa Mpungwe who is behind the Loin Cloth and Ashes store and range.

I have always been very interested how designers create a range. This stems primarily from many hours of watching Project Runway where the challenge is for a 4-piece range and I can't feel the cohesion at all. In Anisa's range I could feel it straight away; I love the monochrome + pop of yellow and I also enjoy the use of pleather and print.

Here's a little blurb from Mr Price's website, see more here:
Anisa's journey with Mr Price began in 2008 when she won the Elle New Talent Design Award in association with Mr Price. Since winning this prestigious award, Anisa’s career has gone from strength to strength.
We are proud to present her exciting new range, exclusive to Mr Price. Featuring a powerful colour combination of black, white and yellow, Anisa’s range comprises structured separates with graphic prints. Sleek and soft fabrications make for a tactile range with a sporting edge. The cuts are similar to Loin Cloth and Ashes designs but they’ve been simplified. Anisa wanted the pieces to be easy to wear and effortless to match. Drawing inspiration from late eighties street-style, the range includes a bold letter-print top and a loose-fitting zipper jacket. You’ll also spot a nod to the twenties with drop-waisted skirts.

Here are a few pieces that I would LOVE in my closet ;) If you'd like to see the full range, shop now right over here
